About McCollum Park

The Hollow is located ½ a mile east of I-5 on 128th St SE and adjacent to the McCollum Park-And-Ride. It’s a 78 acre park that combines open space, wetlands, and woodlands that provide numerous active and passive recreation opportunities. It is open from 7am until dusk. There are multiple sets of sanicans throughout the park. There is a children’s playground past the pool.

Getting to The Hollow

The Hollow usually meets in the tree covered field located to the right of the pool, which is led to by a path at the first parking lot on the right hand side when you first arrive.

We use this field for ditching, as well as basic battle games. Our more complex/interesting battle games and quests occur in our woods behind our hollow.

The Woods

There are multiple trails within the woods that allows for multi-layered quests that has varying sizes that allow for different types of combat.

History of The Hollow

The Hollow was founded in 2008. The park got its name because it started as a nomadic land that had to caravan from park to park on a weekly basis. This was short-lived once roots were set up at Silver Lake Park, until the park became too busy to include our group. From there we found our new home at McCollum Park that allowed for more options, such as the woods and use of bows.
